Special Requests & Events

Our time with you is special to us. We want to make your exploration of Hong Kong's waters, islands and seafood as memorable as possible so please let us know of any little tweaks you'd like to make to your agenda and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Terms & Conditions

To comply with Hong Kong law our boat is skippered by a licensed skipper.

Clients are required by Hong Kong law to sign a written charter agreement in accordance with Section 6(2) of Merchant Shipping (Local Vessels) Certification and Licensing Regulation Cap 548D.

As much as we'd like to promise you blue skies and sunshine, this ability remains firmly out of our control (for now...). We highly recommend that you go over to the Hong Kong Observatory website, here, to get a sense of what the weather will be like on the date of your choosing.

Your safety is paramount to us and as such, the rent boat will only leave port when all the following weather conditions are met.

- Winds Force 4/5, depending on route and wind direction.

- No heavy rain forecast.

- Visibility 2 nautical miles or better.

- Sea swells of no more than 1-2 meters.

If the boat does not sail for any of the above reasons an alternative date will be offered or a full refund of monies paid will be given. You will not loose any money in these circumstances.

If a tour underway is curtailed because of worsening weather conditions a refund of monies paid will be given in accordance with the shortened duration.

A 50% deposit is required to secure and reserve a charter.

The balance is due 7 days before the charter. The boat will not leave port until the charter is paid in full.

Payments to be made to Intimate Charters’ bank account HSBC 809-655095-838.

Clients may cancel their booking and receive the following refunds of monies paid:

- Cancellation 2 weeks or more before charter:-a) Alternative date offered with no change fee, or
b) Monies refunded less $500 cancellation fee.

- Cancellation 5 days or more before charter:a) Alternative date offered for a $300 change fee, or
b) Monies refunded less $1,000 cancellation fee.

- Cancellation 4 days or less before charter:a) Alternative date offered for a $500 change fee, or
b) Monies refunded less $1,000 cancellation fee.

Whilst we make every effort to facilitate our customers requirements, sometimes we need to postpone or cancel bookings due to unforeseen circumstances. In such a situation Intimate Charters will offer an alternative date or a full refund of monies paid.

Passengers must fully participate in a safety briefing at the start of the tour, and follow the skipper’s instructions at all times.

Passengers may consume alcoholic beverages in moderation whilst onboard. However the skipper has the right to stop passenger’s consumption if at anytime he considers it a threat to safety.

Hard or recreational drugs may not be taken on board under any circumstance.

The skipper reserves the right to go ashore and offload any passengers whose behaviour is considered abusive or a danger to passengers or crew.

The skipper reserves the right to change the planned route in accordance with best safety practice.

All passengers agree to advise Intimate Charters in writing of any medical disability or illness which may adversely affect the ability to participate in the sea cruise or hike that they have chosen. It shall be at the discretion of the Company to refuse to accept a booking of a passenger where there is an unacceptable risk to the party and the Company in doing so.

Minimum age for children onboard all charters is 5 years.

Passengers take responsibility for themselves and their personal property. If there is loss of property on the boat, Intimate Charters will not be held responsible.
